ScaleDefend
Creative Chemical Solutions, Kernow Analytical Technology, and Production Chemistry Training Unite to Launch a New Service - 'ScaleDefend'
An Innovative Service Set to Transform Inorganic Scale Management in the Oil and Gas Industry
Creative Chemical Solutions (CCS), Kernow Analytical Technology (KAT), and Production Chemistry Training Ltd (PCT) are proud to announce the launch of 'ScaleDefend,' a collaborative service designed to revolutionise the management of inorganic scale in the oil and gas sector.
Inorganic scale deposits, such as calcium carbonate and barium sulphate, pose significant challenges in oilfield operations, leading to reduced production efficiency and increased maintenance costs. These scales can accumulate on equipment surfaces, including perforations, casing, production tubulars, valves, and pumps, potentially leading to well abandonment if not properly managed.
'ScaleDefend' combines the unique strengths of the three partnering organisations to offer a comprehensive solution to this pervasive issue:
Stephen Heath, Managing Director of Creative Chemical Solutions and Technical Director of Production Chemistry Training Ltd, commented on the collaboration:
"By integrating our chemical expertise with KAT's testing capabilities and PCT's educational programs, 'ScaleDefend' offers a holistic approach to scale management. This service not only addresses the technical challenges but also empowers industry professionals with the knowledge to implement effective solutions."
Dr. Neil Chilcott, Managing Director of KAT, added:
"Effective scale management requires a combination of precise diagnostics and targeted intervention. With 'ScaleDefend,' we are providing operators with the critical data they need to make informed decisions. Our advanced analytical techniques will enable early detection and tailored treatment strategies, reducing downtime and optimising performance."
'ScaleDefend' is now available to clients globally and aims to enhance operational efficiency and reduce the financial impact associated with inorganic scale formation.
